Different Angles - Local Teen Drawn to Sports Photography
Project type
Magazine Article
As a photographer and writer for Quick Slants Magazine, I had the unique opportunity to cover various sporting events, both as a journalist and a photographer. I attended local games, including state championships, where I captured high-energy moments and the intensity of competition from the sidelines. With a press pass in hand, I had direct access to the action, allowing me to photograph key moments that highlighted the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
My work involved capturing athletes in motion—freezing the fast-paced intensity of basketball, cross-country, and other sports—while also crafting engaging stories that provided readers with a deeper emotional connection to the athletes and events. This role allowed me to develop not only my photography skills but also my ability to tell compelling stories through both images and words.
